Top Ten Tuesday #43 - Popular Authors I've Never Read

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely people at The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is -

Top Ten Popular (YA) Authors I've Never Read

I thought this would be easier than it was! I'm always seeing books/authors on Goodreads/Twitter/blogs and wondering why I haven't read a single book by them yet everyone else is a superfan. Even worse is the fact that I have books by all of these authors on my wishlist too, I think I might even own the first Brigid Kemmerer book and I know I own the first two Lumatere Chronicles by Melina Marchetta... I also own the first Tahereh Mafi book, I'm starting to sense a trend here. Here's my mini list, I may well add to it later as my mind is blank right now!

Brigid Kemmerer

Kasie West

Stephanie Perkins

Jennifer L Armentrout

Abbi Glines

Elizabeth Wein
Melina Marchetta
Tahereh Mafi

  1. AH, I have not read any of these either! I heard so much about West, Perkins and Armentrout, I may get on those books soon.
    Happy reading!

  2. I haven't read a bunch of these either. >_< This was a super cool prompt this week, though, eh? I mean, I THOUGHT I was pretty up-to-date. At least having had tried most of them for one book. But, hehe, nope. I'm pretty far behind. I do love Elizabeth Wein and Melina Marchetta, but both have a bit of slow starts to their books. Tahereh Mafi is worth trying, but I wasn't such a Shatter Me fan. (I quietly fangirled. Quietly.)

  6. Great list, I cant believe so many people haven't read Stephanie Perkins. She's really good, and if you find yourself stuck for something to read I would highly recommend you pick something of hers up, unless of course you don't like contemporary haha

  8. I just want to advocate for Anna Perkins. I really was resistant to reading Anna and the French Kiss, I just didn't think it was my thing. I ended up really loving it though. I haven't read Abbi Glines either but I have heard amazing things about the Vincent Boys.

  10. I haven't read most of these either, so I guess we'll just have to start together, right? ;) Although, I have read Tahereh Mafi's Shatter Me trilogy and I LOVED it, and Elizabeth Wein's Code Name Verity was just absolutely heart-breaking and beautiful! Anyway...I can't wait to see what you think of all these lovely books! :D Thanks for sharing and great choices!
